La Piscina — Geometry by the Water
La Piscina — Geometry by the Water
Not every resort memory is an object. Some are patterns built into the place itself.
The edge of a swimming pool.
A repeating ceramic tile.
The curve of an archway.
Steps disappearing beneath blue water.
For La Piscina, we stripped away many of the literal symbols of travel and looked instead at the geometry of Mediterranean resorts.
Architecture becomes pattern.
Pool tiles become borders.
Water lines become rhythm.
Arches repeat until they are no longer buildings, but shapes.
This more abstract approach allows the language of Lost Resort Culture to exist without room keys, postcards or hotel names.
You may never recognize the exact object that inspired the print.
That is intentional.
Sometimes a place is remembered not through what we saw, but through proportion, repetition, color and light.
La Piscina is our interpretation of that quieter kind of memory.
